I cant believe it is that time of the month again already, where we get to vote on which stitch was our favourite from this months Stitch Alongs. All the stitches this month were quite different and unique but still there are so many different ways to use them. So which stitches did we learn this month?

The Stitches for October

  1. Up and Down Blanket Stitch
  2. Knotted Pearl Stitch
  3. Basque Stitch
  4. Open Chain Stitch

To learn how to do any of the above stitches click on the name and it will take you to a video tutorial.

The Winning Stitch

It was almost a draw between two stitches, Basque Stitch and Knotted Pearl Stitch. There was 1 vote in it…

…and the winner is BASQUE STITCH

Basque Stitch is probably my favourite this month too because it is such a pretty stitch and is probably the most versatile out of all them. You could use it to create a floral design, a border or if you mix it with other stitches like French Knots, it could add an Indian element to your embroidery. The possibilities are endless with the Basque Stitch and it is just so pretty and easy to create.
