Nothing is impossible the word itself says “I’m possible”
Audrey Hepburn

An art that seems so complicated and intricate, can it really be THAT easy? Absolutely!

If I had a penny for every time I heard a beginner say “I could never do that!”, well, I would be retiring with my family to my very own tropical island. Okay, slight exaggeration, but I do hear those words so, so often and it really pains me.

Why? Because the issue lies not with the craft itself but with a lack of self confidence. Having struggled massively with self confidence in the past, I want everyone to know that they have the ability to achieve anything and everything they could ever dream of.

How It Started

I started learning embroidery 3 years ago, when I was pregnant with my little girl. As a first time parent I felt a new kind of vulnerable and my lack of self esteem and confidence was at an all time high.

I knew I wanted to keep my creativity alive once the baby arrived, but wasn’t really sure I would be able to. I decided to try the art of modern hand embroidery and slowly, the more I learned, the more my confidence grew. I would start each stitch thinking “Mine wont look that good!” but sure enough, by taking things one stitch at a time, I started to realise I could do things that I never thought I would be able to do…and actually I was pretty good at it.

I couldn’t keep this craft to myself, I knew that if it built my confidence it could lift others up too. I learnt one new stitch each week and created video tutorials to help others learn along with me.

For the past 3 years it has been my mission to get as many people as I can to start embroidering and see the benefits for themselves that embroidery and other crafts can have on their own well-being.

What I believe in

Growing and nurturing your self esteem can change your world. Making craft accessible to everyone.
